Put The Refund On-Chain

DONG Coin Treasury Modernization Chair

Derek Voss

Candidate Overview

Derek has

When organizing with the Democratic Socialists of America, Derek Voss believed cryptocurrency could be a tool to wrest power from a corrupt banking system. He took it upon himself to launch $SOLIDARITY, the "official" DSA token, but ran into legal issues when the organization "caught on to what he was doing."

Newly wealthy but disallusioned and facing seven years in prison, he knew he needed to make a change. Scrolling his feed, he stopped on a video of Trump promising retribution against the system. The same unjust system that treated him so unfairly. Something clicked. Derek realized the right president might see things very differently. By spring, his record was clean. He had learned what loyalty and a few on-chain transactions could buy.

Campaign Message

As State Comptroller, Derek would make Arkansas tax refunds payable in Bitcoin or the newly created Defenders of National Greatness Coin ($DONG). Residents could still request payment in the us dollar, provided they mail an annual opt-out form, wait for verification, and accept a 30% processing fee.

Derek plans to transfer $15.5 billion in Arkansas public pension funds into a state digital sovereignty reserve, creating what he describes as a responsible bridge between retirees and the future. The reserve would be allocated across Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Defenders of National Greatness Coin, with DONG comprising the majority share.

Field Report

Allies describe Derek as a visionary, in the vein of Elon Musk. The arc is familiar: left-leaning origins, a crypto phase, and a migration toward the administration that understood them. Both now speak of their former politics as something they outgrew. Musk brought an audience. Derek brought liquidity. Both left with what they came for.

His personal stake in DONG is a subject he treats with strategic imprecision, describing himself as a reserve architect rather than a majority holder. He has never answered the question directly. Instead he offers the same line to anyone who asks: "You're either on the DONG rocket or you're watching it leave."
